LOPEZ MESA

A travel experience in Boyacá, Colombia, where I define a frame of observation: the domestic world of women in the countryside. I create an imaginary map of places to visit and things to find with keywords such as “curtains”, “towels” and “rags”, then I start exploring. With the charcoal found in local homes, I draw horizon lines on the fabric that is used on a daily basis around these rural areas.
